About Me
I grew up in Brookings, South Dakota, a place I will always be proud to call home! In May of 2018 I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington with a degree in Global Studies. I am passionate about global disparities, especially as they relate to public health.
The Peace Corps’ mission to promote world peace and friendship is a key reason I became interested in serving. There are three goals used to fulfill this objective:
To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women.
To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served.
To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
I hope to use this blog as an extension of 3rd goal, to share my understanding of Guinea with you as I experience it!
