Description of My Oyo App

My Oyo App is an independent social accountability tool for tracking governance and policies in Oyo State.
We are NOT affiliated to the government!
With the My OYO App, you can:
1. Track fulfillment of promises. During electioneering campaigns, promises are often made by politicians to woo voters. These promises are often jettisoned once the politician is elected into office. With My OYO App, we are using technology to track all government promises and how they fulfill them one promise at a time. That way, we can know how committed an elected public official is to promises made. You can also add promises that are not on the list.
2. Make A Report. As active citizens, we must say something when we see something. When you report a case, a CASE ID is attached to your report and this can be used to track the status of your report. We follow up with the government on every case submitted until it is solved.
3. Identify your representative. Most citizens neither know their elected representative nor how to reach them. We have populated the records of all state and federal representatives with each record containing contact email and phone numbers of your rep. By choosing your Local Government Area, the system generates the representatives for your LGA at the state and federal level.
4. Write open letters to the government. Be a part of history, let your voice be heard. You can write and send your open letters and articles on the app. You can share your letter on social media to raise awareness and also reference your letter anywhere anytime in the future.
5. Track governance reach. Is government concentrating benefits to a particular region in the state? Is government spreading the dividends of democracy across all region? You can track how well government is spreading its resources around the state. The app automatically shows you LGAs government has touched in a map. This is based on projects and interventions made by the government to the area.
6. Access information on MDAs. Get access to information about Ministries, Departments and Agencies. See updates on activities of MDAs.
7. See house of assembly updates. Get updates on the bills, activities and programs of the state house of assembly.
8. See Amotekun updates. Get updates on activities of the Amotekun corps.
