Calculate speed of Indian passenger trains from videos or spotting in reality by noting the time taken by the train to pass a point/pole or video frame edge.
1) Select the train type as ICF, LHB or Train 18.
2) Select the locomotive types (if applicable) or feel free to skip the loco fields.
3) Try to note the time while the video frame is still, i.e. you can skip the locos or few coaches if the video frame is moving during that part of the train. Note down the time (in seconds) only for the number of coaches (or locos included) which crossed while the reference point was perceptible or did not change.
4) Accuracy of results depends on the precision of time input. Best results are generated when time is entered with up to 2 or 3 places of decimal.
