Il progetto Dentisti Senza Frontiere nasce nel 2014 dall'esigenza di rendere il più possibile accessibili le cure odontoiatriche specialistiche anche a chi normalmente non riuscirebbe a sostenerne gli elevati costi e fornire gratuitamente cure odontoiatriche a tutti coloro che si trovano in grave stato di disagio economico e sociale, creando una rete privata di dentisti che operano fornendo le proprie prestazioni in modo volontaristico. L'associazione non ha scopo di lucro e persegue in modo esclusivo finalità di solidarietà sociale.
