Government of India is committed towards improving the quality of life of its citizens and economic development of the country by providing electricity round the clock. Electricity is the subject of concurrent list and both Central and State Governments play significant role in ensuring supply of quality and reliable electricity to the consumers.
’24 x 7 Power for All’ programme is a major step in this direction. It is a Joint Initiative of Government of India and State Governments with the objective to make reliable and quality power available 24 x 7 to all.
People being the ultimate consumer of electricity, their feedback is of prime importance in ensuring reliable and affordable supply of electricity.
‘Jagruk’ mobile app has been developed to provide consumers a mechanism to register their feedback regarding hours of availability of electricity and number of interruptions if any.
On the App, the consumer is required to provide his Mobile number, State, District, Village/Town and feedback regarding electricity supply in terms of duration of availability of power and number of power outages faced during the previous day.
The valuable feedback thus collected will help Discoms improve the electricity supply position in their areas.
