Description

2014 was a breakthrough with the launch of TEXEPHYR-technical festival organized by the students of Maharashtra institute of technology, Pune with the aim to celebrate technology and innovation.
Texephyr is an amalgamation of two words-Technology and Zephyr. It signifies the change brought upon by innovative minds. Texephyr’14 was based on ‘CONQUERING HORIZONS’ which signified the method by which today’s technology is advancing and it represented imagination and willpower to reach the unreached.
Texephyr’15 supported the theme ‘SWACHH BHARAT TECHNOLOGY ’, which signified the departure of something that is prevalent and pursuing the unaccomplished with the help of cutting-edge technology and innovation.
Texephyr’16 promoted the age of digitization and ensured creation of digital infrastructure for delivering services digitally and increased digital literacy.
In today’s world, everyone is surrounded by smartphone and smart gadgets.Taking cue from the same, Texephyr’17 is committed to smart city-a new and bold initiative by government of India to drive economic growth by harnessing technology that leads to smart outcomes. Embarking upon the idea, team has many ideas to implement the same notation. Our Prime Minister NARENDRA MODI is the greatest influence behind the smart city initiative.
The festival consist of a plentitude of technical ,non-technical ,managerial and entertainment based events that challenge the imagination ,wit and creativity of the students. Apart from this, the team understands its responsibility towards the society.In 2016 supported by two NGOs, make a difference and Bookwallah, Texephyr celebrated joy of giving ,a week long social cause campaign.
The basic idea was to assuage the plight of underprivileged kids in our society .More than 100 kgs of material was distributed among kids at S.O.S, Yerwada. Texephyr also supported Tahann, an initiative with the mission to quench the thirst of thousands of people in Baramati, by providing water tankers during the drought period in May, 2016.
The current year comes again as an opportunity for the team Texephyr to prove its mettle and scale greater heights in technical as well as social domain.
