Redwood National and State Parks is a natural heritage site that lies to the West coast of US slightly north of San Francisco. Although known for redwoods (Sequoia), the park is a varied ecosystem for a plethora of plant and animal life. You can choose from a range of developed campgrounds (Jedediah Smith Campground, Mill Creek Campground, Elk Prairie Campground and Gold Bluffs Beach Campground) or get a little adventurous and discover Howland Hill Road and Stout Grove, explore Enderts Beach and Crescent Beach Overlook, drive to Klamath River outlook, check out Trillium Falls trail, experience the eight mile tumble Coastal drive road, and yeah, walk to the Big Tree Wayside and you’d never want to walk back.
