What is it?
It’s like a virtual notepad for truckers,
your own alternative truck parking locator based on user input.
The information that you enter is for your own use only, which guarantees parking availability, unlike crowd-sourced information.
Why do I need this?
As you are probably aware, many truck stops are charging drivers as much as $20 a night to reserve a spot.
A lot of public rest areas have been closed down permanently, and not much has been done to alleviate the truck parking shortage.
We’re on our own with this issue and the Electronic Log Mandate has only made matters worse.
How does it work?
You simply drop markers on your secret locations all around the country until eventually you have peace of mind in knowing that, wherever you are, anytime of the day or night, you will have an alternative parking location available to you.
When you’re sitting at a shipper or receiver, take note of the parking situation.
Do they permit overnight parking on their property?
How about on the street?
Many industrial areas allow for parking on the street.
When you find these parking locations, drop a marker on them for future reference.
You can also drop markers on your favourite repair shops, fuel stops, restaurants and hotels.
Only the places that really stand out to you should be added, like that fantastic repair shop that got you in and out real quick, repaired your truck properly and at a reasonable rate.
They would make the grade for a marker on your map.
How about that perfect hotel that was pet-friendly, had a decent parking area, and the amenities that you prefer like an onsite restaurant/lounge and pool. They would make the grade also.
Your marked locations are based upon your own preferences and your map remains private.
