The system is updated by the collaborative efforts of a group of individuals and organizations that are working to establish the credibility of information by sorting them out as either facts or rumors.
The platform has been designed to ensure the safety of the people by relying on safe and accurate information. The primary release of the mobile application focuses on curating information, whereas the later updates include advanced security features such as geo-locating your friends and family and ensuring their safety during times of crisis and panic.
The application is a combination of a news verification log and an emergency response system that will help cities coordinate while staying safe and secure during times of uncertainty.

No More News??? Used to be a very useful and informational app.. with new updates, news about the country... News has been stopped since April 20th... Hope they start back their services... Until then.. am gonna uninstall it...

Great app but once server and fact checker capacity increases should have a function where people can upload suspected fake news so it can be verified. I currently have such a news that I am unable to verify unless watchdog comes across it and when that will happen is indeterminate. Otherwise great app

Up to date news. Probably the only news app you need in SL as they source information from all news mediums. Hence, the news is factual rather than based on bias. Good job, watchdog team.

Great application and introduced when the country was going haywire as a result of fake news. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more features.
