बद्रीनाथ मंदिर

बद्रीनाथ मन्दिर , जिसे बद्रीनारायण मन्दिर भी कहा जाता है, भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित एक हिन्दू मन्दिर है। यह उत्तराखण्ड राज्य के चमोली जनपद में अलकनन्दा नदी के तट पर स्थित है। मन्दिर के नाम पर ही इसके इर्द-गिर्द बसे नगर को भी बद्रीनाथ ही कहा जाता है। बद्रीनाथ मन्दिर गढ़वाल क्षेत्र की ऊँची पहाड़ियों में समुद्र तल से ३,१३३ मीटर (१०,२७९ फ़ीट) की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है। हिमालयी क्षेत्र के अत्यधिक कठोर मौसम की वजह से यह मन्दिर प्रत्येक वर्ष केवल छह महीने (अप्रैल के अंत से लेकर नवम्बर की शुरुआत तक) के लिए ही खुला रहता है। बद्रीनाथ भारत के सबसे व्यस्त तीर्थस्थानों में एक है; २०१२ में यहाँ लगभग १०,६०,००० तीर्थयात्री दर्ज किये गए थे।
Badrinath Temple, also called Badrinarayan Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located on the banks of the Alaknanda river in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Only the town that is situated in the name of the temple is also called Badrinath. Badrinath Temple is located at a height of 3,133 meters (10,27 9 feet) above sea level in the high hills of the Garhwal area. Due to the highly harsh weather in the Himalayan region, this temple is open only for six months each year (from the end of April to early November). Badrinath is one of the busiest places of pilgrimage in India; About 10.60,000 pilgrims were recorded here in 2012.
