Our vision is to accelerate people's transition to environmental consciousness. We aim to reduce the carbon footprint each person emits while commuting. In order to achieve this, our team has created an eco-routing application which indicates the most ecological way to transport from point A to point B, while calculating the fuel and CO2 emissions of the user. It is necessary to specify that the shortest optional route is not always the most ecological one. The factors which contribute to a route being ecological are the inclination of the road, the number of times a car has to start, stop, accelerate or decelerate and the existing traffic on the road. Therefore, our algorithm provides an alternative route for the user based on these factors, which we call eco-route.
