FAQ/Tips
How do i use the widget
Event Flow is a widget, so you need to place it on your homescreen from your widget list. Try searching Google for “widgets on Android“, as the process for using widgets varies slightly depending on the specific Android version and your device model. It usually is done by long pressing on an empty place of your homescreen and then selecting the "Widgets" option.
The widget is not updating
That's probably because your device has some kind of battery saving settings that prevent the widget from updating (it needs to update itself once a day and before/after each event). Please check your battery saving settings and make sure that they don't interfere with the widget's operation. You can find more info here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/
Why aren't reminders available
Google hasn't yet made reminders available for third-party apps, at least in a way that doesn't involve asking for your Google account credentials, which we don't want to do. We're keeping an eye on it to see if that changes.
My Outlook/Exchange calendar isn't showing up
The Outlook app uses a private database that can't be accessed by the widget, so it can't show your Outlook/Exchange calendars. Alternatively you might be able to add your Outlook/Exchange account in your device's Settings->Accounts, and access those calendars via Google's Calendar app. They should then also be available on the widget.
My Birthdays/Contacts/Other calendar is not showing up or is not being synchronized
The widget only reads the local calendar database that's on your device, which is maintained by Android and your Calendar App. Sometimes there can be issues with the synchronization, and a refresh can help. In your device's Settings->Accounts->Select your account->Account sync refresh the "Calendar" and "Contacts" option. Then, open Google's Calendar app, go into the side menu, and deselect/select the affected calendars.
How do i set up the widget to look like in the screenshots
Most of the screenshots show the 2 widgets simultaneously: On the top place the Calendar Widget, resized to occupy one row, and on the bottom the Agenda Widget, without the header (configured in the agenda settings). Then just choose the colors you like the most.
I would like to select an exact color for one of the options
In the color picker for that option, tap the center circle that displays the color and you'll be able to enter the Hexadecimal code for the color you want (include the alpha component - 0x00 transparent, 0xFF solid color). You can also copy/paste that code to/from another item.
Permissions
We dislike apps that ask a lot of permissions without justifying them. So here's what we need and why:
Calendar
: To read your calendar events. Without this permission the widget doesn't work, so it is mandatory.
Location
: To show the weather forecast for your location. This is optional, you can opt not to grant this permission and not show the weather forecast or manually choose a location for the forecast.
Hope you enjoy it, and if you have any questions, issues or just want to get in touch, email us at [email protected]

What's New with Event Flow Calendar Widget 1.8.1

- Add week number to calendar widget (new option)
- Tweak and improve themes
- Fix weather location selection

Love this app! It interfaces fantastically with Google calendar, allowing me to make it my default for adding events. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it puts a limit on the events you can scroll to a max of 3 months. A year would be better, and no limit would be best.

Think there's changes to Android 11 API. Birthdays no longer showing on the agenda widget. Please have a look. Everything else is fine.

This is one of those immediate installs any time I get a new phone. I've tried a lot of agenda widgets and this is the best one.

Hi the widget is quite useful although I really wanted the dual widget shown in the pictures to be one widget, so you could use the top date wider to show the activities under with weather. There not really useful together as they are as once you click on the day it just launches calendar. Can you add this widget as it'll help all of us and upgrade the review to 5 stars. Also can we have a refresh button as the widget doesn't always refresh when viewing. Thank you 👍

Really useful and I love the app, the only issue I have is that it only shows one appointment per time block. So if you happen to be double booked, it only shows one appointment
