Description of File Shortcut(OLD)

[DEPRECATED]
This app is too old so it's now deprecated.
I released a new version and it's support Android Oreo now.
Please try it.
(It is NOT compatible with the old app.)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nagopy.android.fileshortcut
It is an app to create a shortcut to open the file.
You can choose any files such as images, videos, or PDF.
Caution
- You need a separate application that corresponds to the format so you can open the file. For example, PDF files can not be opened without PDF readers such as Adobe Reader.

Feature Request : We can't open two shortcut simultaneously (because it open ups shortcut inside the app doesn't redirect shortcut to the other app). Example : Like i had created two image shortcuts and opened the first shortcut and choosed gallery1 to open it, i can see the photo then i moved to the second shortcut without killing the previous task or shortcut i opened and choosed gallery2 (different gallery app) to open it, now what i see is previous shortcut which i opened.

Sorry. I gave it a good go. It has some instructions, but extremely limited and slightly misleading. For an avid app user, this particular app is quite unintuitive / hard to use. I will find a better one to suit my needs.

Brilliant little app! Just too cool! I love it!!! :-) --- The instructions are very vague. You can tell that he thought he did give clear instructions, but he didn't do it from an, "I've never seen this type of app before and I didn't even know you could do that in Android!" viewpoint. So you're pretty much on your own. :-) But all ya gotta do, is to "Share" the file to this app, ignore all the crap in the screen that comes up, then tap the bar at the bottom that says "OK", or something like that and it will create the Shortcut for your file on your Home Screen. That's it! Done! :-)

On first use, I opened the Settings, ?, and Info menus, but the app locked up right there. Would not let me return to the main screen to do anything. Have to uninstall, good luck.

Does what it says intuitively, but BEWARE: when I selected Settings option 'Hide from Launcher' it deleted all my previously created shortcuts. Lots of work recreating them all!
