Decent media player. does the simple things well that default players seem incapable of.

Overall, I've had a great experience with MM. The ease of editing metadata was why I tried it out to begin with, and the wireless sync (from the Pro version) is why I've stuck around. The only issues I've got with it right now is some very rare cases of freezing/not switching songs when I select one, and one little management quirk that irks me: why does the mobile version not sort album tracks by Disc? Multi-disc albums show up on mobile sorted only by track number (1st track of each disc, etc)

Best --Update lagging searching for next song if switching songs too much. Never was a problem not sure what happened here.

Not very useful 😭 There is NO gapless playback, no crossfade, and no tag editing.

While Media Monkey is nice, I think I prefer Hi-Fi cast. Why? Let's say that you are in the mood for Viking Music, you can either add all the albums from each Artist, or just add the artist. Then once you decide on the artist you click their name and either play through the playlist, or shuffle. Yes, one could just choose a genre, but some singers do a blend and the song defies categorization. The only thing I don't like about Hi-Fi Cast is the inability to save a playlist externally.
