  Long time user when it had a good rating, now Gizmodo gives it 3.3 /5 rating and only because it works well on older PC's and phones with minimal resource drain. Other more robust protection available. Since acquisition by OpenText the ball has been dropped. Same goes for Carbonite which they acquired as well. I dropped Carbonite now cancelling Webroot. This seems to be a recurring theme when a good product is purchased by a large conglomerate e.g. WhatsApp, Skype, Waze . . . etc.

  Webroot came with buying my laptop.had issues with key number.then i was told that it was fixed,i downloaded it and now it says "App is being retired". Wont let me udate.

  RATED ZERO Like other reviewers, we've had nothing but problems with the "Updated" version of Webroot. Sadly, we paid for a multi-year, multi-device subscription shortly before this change occurred. We loved the original and had renewed our subscription repeatedly until this. We attempted to contact the company, but no one ever replied. There were 459 days left in my subscription when this change was made and I'd like a refund for those days, please, because the new thing doesn't work.
