Olive Ridley turtles, around the world,
nest on the beaches at night. To create awareness about their endangered status and the need for conservation, turtle walks are organised during the nesting season, through out the night on beach sands around the world. Lots of children also take part in these walks They look for nesting places, collect the eggs and relocate them to a safer place.
It takes 45 days for the turtles to hatch and then they are released safely into the sea.
Turtle Walks app is a game where in children try to locate all the nests spread over a large area gridded by squares.

Game Theme:
The game attempts to create awareness about the olive ridley turtles conservation.
A single player game played on a board having 48 unopened squares of which some of them contain a nest.
The goal of the game is to locate all the 16 nests. Both luck and logical reasoning play significant roles in the game.
At the beginning, the player opens a square and if it contains a nest, the score is increased by 8 points. If the square contains
a number then 4 points gets deducted from the score. The number appearing within an opened square is the count of nests in its neighbourhood.
It should be possible to apply logical reasoning to locate the nests or rely on sheer luck to locate them.
Once all the nests are found, the game ends and the points earned by the player gets displayed.
APP CHARACTERISTICS:
The board size, number of squares, sleeping icons, colors
are chosen after considerable thought process. The coding method permits a trillion or more different board configurations to challenge the player.
