When you install Find My Phone app then set the password and put the app on activation(ON) mode.
Whenever you misplaced or lost your phone then send a text message to your phone with the password which you have set in Find My Phone app..Once the message is received to your phone ,the alarm starts and with that alarm sound you can find our phone very easily .
