I have had my skybell for about 2 years. I really like it. It has had a few glitches but just reloaded it and works fine even in -40 weather.

Expect to see the error "Stream Could Not Be Established or Device Offline" a lot and no option for area of interest motion detection like other smart doorbells. For the love of god, please get this app working properly. Scrap all enchantment plans and just work out from a stable base. The upgrades are making the app worse. Please read through app reviews before considering purchase, as you can see, there is a trend.

Years later... the app is just as crappy.. It is one issue after another. Now, I can only view the live stream on my phone with mobile data. With wifi, it shows "stream cannot be established". However, on my chromebook, the app works fine on wifi. So, the issue is not with my network, but skybell support seems to think so. I would give it a lower rating if google allowed it.

PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM, Now I changed my wifi password and had to reset this, errors EVERY time 9 tries, reinstalls,etc. Stream can't be established. Bought a brand new one and it still has the same problems. Worked fine in the same spot for a year before this, therefore it's the software update that crippled it. The developers don't know what they're doing with firmware updates or application updates apparently. I HIGHLY recommend not buying one. Get a Ring. I wish I NEVER EVER EVER GOT THESE.

Do NOT BUY THIS. Look at recent reviews! Skybell puts out updates and renders the doorbell to not work properly. I cannot establish a live stream since last update. They do everything to push the problem off on you the consumer. I have a useless $200 doorbell and they don't except responseability. Be aware! UPDATE.. I ended up solving the main problem myself. BUT soooo many issues with randomly working it's nightmarish. It's like "Oh No Here we go again"!🤮🤮🤮

Running a 2 bell setup. One HD and one Trim. Had to replace the trim since the contacts deteriorated. After replacing it and syncing it, the app now just locks up. Not sure what is different about the new trim but it has taken down my system and is interfering with my home security!
