Vladimir G. Suteev - Honored Artist of the RSFSR. One of the pioneers of Soviet animation. Children's writer, illustrator and director-animator.
Vladimir Suteev wrote many tales that differ liveliness, wit, simplicity and accessibility for the youngest readers. Almost every sentence was accompanied by a vivid illustration, in which Suteev privnёs lot of animation, his dynamic paintings resemble frames of cartoons; characters have a graphical identity, expressed in the form, movements and facial expressions. His books are always a lot of humor, which helps to explain to children without moralizing simple truths.
Since 1947 he worked in Detgiz. Illustrated set of children's tales of Soviet writers Chukovsky, Marshak, Mikhalkov. With illustrations by the artist for the first time in Russian published a book: D. Rodari "The Adventures of Cipollino" (suteevskie characters of this tale became a model for children's toys), the Norwegian writer Alexander Preuss "Merry New Year", Hungarian writer Agnes Balint "Dwarf Gnomych and Izyumka" , English writer L.
