TSR - TV Series Recommender is a free quiz app that asks you a bunch of questions and matches your responses with manually added TV shows!
You need another TV Series to binge-watch? Answer 15 questions and easily get your new favorite show. Whether the genre is fantasy, action, drama, crime or mystery. They will all be implemented in TSR, sooner than later. Answer 30 questions and get a deeper and more accurate analysis. An analysis that will surely be satisfactory, albeit a little more time consuming than the "Quick" 15 question one. Answer 60 questions and you will get the most accurate result. The 60 question mode delves even deeper into your interests and tackles interests you didn't even know you had.
The questions we offer aren't typical "would you rather" questions. They are intriguing questions that don't require a lot of thought, nevertheless accurate to a tee.
TV shows are phenomenon that has been taking over for the past few decades. Moreover, with all kinds of shows on the screen, finding a TV show that fits your personal interests and satisfies your taste has gotten harder and harder. "Never judge a book by it's cover" is a well-recognized idiom that fits almost everything. Never judge a TV show by its cover. You will never have to deal with judging TV shows by covers, because this quiz delves deeper than the cover and offers a summary and quotes from the show's official Wikipedia page.
TSR uses a manually added algorithm to help you find your new favorite show.
TV Series Recommender has three different modes to help you find your new favorite show:
1. Long and Precise. This is the most accurate mode to find your new TV Series. It features 60 different questions.
2. Medium. This mode features 30 questions and is the easiest safe mode.
3. Quick. This mode features only 15 questions for when you're in a rush! It is the least accurate but it is still accurate, nevertheless.
We try to keep most of our shows stream-able on Netflix, HBO and other streaming companies.
One of the worst feelings is when your show is about to end, and you've got no idea what else could fill that hollow void that was embedded from the inevitable ending of a good show.
Each person has a distinctly different taste in everything, ranging from music to food to TV shows. The great thing about TSR that it overtakes all the struggles one would take to find a good show, and recapitulates it into merely 15, 30 or 60 questions!
USER-INTERFACE
TSR was designed with ease of usage in mind. Anyone old enough to know how to read can use it with undeniable ease. It is very accessible and clear. It offers a lot of genres, albeit most of them are in the making, but the one it already has is guaranteed to satisfy your binge-worth needs.
SIMPLICITY
Simplicity to use one of the main factors in the game. The quiz game is merely two buttons: TRUE or FALSE. You don't have to waste time choosing between 4 different answers or typing out an answer. Everything is very simple.
THE GAME
TSR is a quiz game. When you choose which genre you prefer to play, you will start the game immediately. You will be presented with true or false questions. Your answer determines which show should be presented to you. TSR doesn't use a randomized answer. Every question is well thought out and manually chosen.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It works by gathering data from each answer you give and ranking the shows in a suitable manner. Each answer will provide an indicator of interest. For instance, if you answer false to a question, the show associated with the question will get its ranked decreased. On the other hand, if you answer with TRUE; the show associated with the question will get its rank increased. At the end, the ranks are determined by every single question. It is a collective effort, not a singular effort. You might like one aspect of a show and hate the other aspect. The show will still be available, but the rank will be lower.
