With this app you can connect your Aguardio devices to Wi-Fi and start collecting shower data. Aguardio is a plug-&-play solution consisting of two devices; Sensor and Display, both designed to guide people in a more sustainable direction. Installed in the bathroom, Aguardio facilitates changes in shower behaviour with the aim to reduce water and energy consumption.
The Aguardio Sensor is placed at the ceiling in the shower cabinet, and the Aguardio Display is placed on the wall in the shower cabinet. The Sensor collects data on shower behaviour by registering movement and water sound. Furthermore, data on humidity and temperature are collected and uploaded to a cloud via Wi-Fi.
Data about shower time is automatically transmitted to the Aguardio Display and as soon as the shower begins the Display starts counting the shower length. This means, that the Display timer stops if water is turned off e.g. while shampooing, and the total shower length is shown when the user leaves the shower cabinet. Tests show, that Aguardio can reduce the shower time by up to 20 percent per shower.
Aguardio offers four main advantages:
1. Water consumption is reduced accommodating the water shortage problem.
2. Energy consumptions is reduced due to reduction in hot water consumption leading to lower CO2 emissions.
3. Financial savings due to lower energy and water consumption.
4. Waste water emission to the sewer is reduced which has a positive effect on the capacity in waste water treatment facilities.
