Description of BT Wi-fi

Download the free BT Wi-fi app to get online automatically at over 5m hotspots in the UK. BT Broadband & BT Mobile customers get FREE and unlimited BT Wi-fi access. To login to the app you will need your BT ID, you will only need to login once and the app will automatically connect you when in range of a hotspot.
If you have forgotten your username or password, go to www.bt.com/password.
NOTE: During installation & setup the app will request access to various permissions. Whilst some may seem unnecessary, they are required to support our varied customer base and wont impact any of our general users.
NOTE: Some devices include an ‘App Optimisation’ feature which can prevent the BT Wi-fi app from automatically connecting to our hotspots. Check your device instruction guides on how disable this feature for our app.

  Installed, then uninstalled 10 minutes later, too many hoops to jump through to get connected. Login details are not saved in the app so you are taken to a Web page to login. Since none of my passwords are less than 15 alpha/numeric/symbol characters it isn't easy to remember them in my head - even harder to type them in on a phone. I installed this app for "emergency" use only, connection is unsecured anyway.

  I have never been able to log into BT Wi-fi. Keeps telling me my details are wrong . And I see that many others have the same problem Either sort it out or do away with it

  Frieght and steam

  Since upgrading and having a fault fixed, the internet is worse than before the upgrade. It constantly loses connection and doesn't pick up as far as it used to. It's as if we are going backwards yet the prices aren't.

  Just joined BT and told i can use BT WIFI App , even thought my hub has not been connected yet, however its not showing any hotspots on the map in the app.

  Horrendous, won't accept log-in details, says they are wrong when they aren't. When it does work once every couple of months, it won't automatically connect to WiFi anyway. Customer service says it's not their problem. Probably a scam app since it's had these problems for over two years now, thousands of complaints and it's still not fixed. The auto-replies from BT CS on this board faking concern and action are insulting to their customers intelligence.
