Pindicate is a free and innovative mobile app that uses online monitoring and a real-time location tracker to help caregivers keep Alzheimer's patients safe within safe zones.
With 44 million people suffering from Alzheimer's and 60% of them unconsciously wandering, there is a the dire need for the caregivers to monitor their loved ones 24/7 easily and efficiently. Pindicate allows you to mark areas on the map as safe zones by simply dropping the pin. The app then send alerts and notifications to the caregivers if in any case the patient is found wandering outside the safe zone.
This user friendly app not only enables you to designate safe boundaries on Google Maps, but also provides you with the option to set timetables for the patient so that you can customize alerts according to the patient's schedule.
Apart from Alzheimer's patients and caregivers, Pindicate also comes in handy for parents who want to supervise their children.
In short, Pindicate allows caregivers to establish a safe zone around a location, an area that the patient should not be leaving. If the patient goes outside of this boundary, the app immediately sends an alert via email or notification to the caregiver to indicate that the patient is wandering outside. Users are also able to set timetables, allowing them to activate alerts at different times according to the patients’ specific schedules. With the schedule function, users will be able to choose the specific day of the week, start time, and end time of each alert.
