Description of Pioneer ARC

Pioneer’s Advanced Remote Control (Pioneer ARC) app converts your Android smartphone* into a powerful touchscreen remote control, which allows you to control and customize your compatible Pioneer car stereo.
Pioneer ARC lets you browse your favorite music, switch sources (FM tuner, Bluetooth Audio, etc), launch 3rd party apps, customize the illumination colors and audio settings of your Pioneer system.
Compatible features vary by model.
*The Pioneer ARC app is compatible with Android smartphones running 4.1 and above.
For USB connections
This function is compatible with a phone that runs Android 4.1 up to 7.1.2 and also supports AOA (Android Open Accessory) 2.0, but the compatibility depends on the smartphone.
Some Android devices connected via AOA 2.0 may not work properly or emit sounds due to their own software design, regardless of the OS version.

  Older pioneer head units have stopped keeping up with newer Bluetooth protocols. This app doesn't support Spotify connection anymore. Looks horrible and does not work.

  USED to work, now all I get is error 19, error 23. I used this app to make my MVH-S501BS's face a custom green to match my Chrysler clock, now I can't use it at all anymore. Should have bought an Alpine

  The app is not too bad , it has small issues where one has to disconnect and reconnect for it to work again . Other than that it's an ok app to use

  Horrible experience downloaded the app for my car radio the music doesn't even play on the radio it plays through my phone even when it's connected this app sucks and it only plays the stuff in my phone im use to plugging my phone up and playing anything I want YouTube pandora ext

  This is totally useless, it doesn't work at all. I tried everything but the music plays through my phone's speakers not the car's speaker.
