This app was fine when it was free, but they're charging now with no upgrades in features. Need to buy tinned and fresh tomatoes? The app will combine them for confusing shopping trips. The bookmark tool is a joke, ingredients disappear off your list, and tech support only cares about getting sales. Seriously, don't waste your time.

Pepperplate has a lot of functionality that is user friendly, but the app constantly freezes and hasn't been updated significantly in years. The move to a paid model without changes and updates makes this app completely unusable.

The app worked well. I could put all my recipes in it. Used it heavily during the holiday season when baking a ton of cookies - It did a great job of adding and combining all of the different recipes in the shopping list so I was sure to buy enough flour and sugar. Printing recipes is easy, sending to family was easy. Didn't ever use the build a menu function. It needed some help with importing recipes from other websites, but really wasn't a bother. Could quickly copy and paste and make my own edits to the recipe. Now they expect me to pay a subscription? Talk about bait and switch! ... Here's a free app put all your family recipes here, store them, figure out how to use the app all for free! 2 years later - Now you must pay $33 a year for this app if you would like to continue to use it. Ok what does the $33 subscription get me? ??? No idea they don't specify. So really I now have to pay for something I was getting for free? Most likely because Pepperplate thought they could start making money at this. Nope. I'll find another app..Even if I have to pay more because this whole model is dishonest and secretive.

I've been a satisfied user of this app for years until they notified me for a subscription. Now that I paid for it, the app has been crashing and they won't even fix the bug. Such a waste of money. I will never renew my subscription for this app.

Works great. I'm confused by the reviews. I have used this for years and never been asked to subscribe to anything. I just installed it on my new phone and was not asked to pay this time either.

I'm disappointed at the lack of info moving from a free model to subscription. Been a user for many years; app + site have always 'worked', but can't say it's anything special worth paying for. It's basic & hasn't had any visible updates in years. I've been using it for easy search & categorisation, and scale recipes up and down - but now that it's paid for, I'll be moving my content to a notepad tool that can do 80% of that, for free! Treat users with care, or you lose users you had!
