Following the crazy global success of Candy Crush Saga in 2012 and 2013, game markers King released its sequel, Candy Crush Soda Saga, the following year. Like it’s predecessor, Candy Crush Soda Saga is a matching puzzle game where you try to line up three or more types of candies to clear them from the board. Different candies have different capabilities, with some acting as bombs, which help clear the board faster.
Candy Crush Soda Saga doesn’t just mimic the features of the first game, however. In Soda Saga players can unleash purple soda to save the new Candy Bears, match candies to mash frozen bears free, and interact with honey to release trapped bears. The game also introduced new candy levels where gravity is reversed and you must float bear up above a candy necklace line.
As with its predecessor, the game works in an episodic content form factor, with each new episode containing 15 levels. Currently there are over 250 regular levels.
