Tours can be created while traveling and using your Toura Android mobile app. You can create tours offline (no internet or roaming connection needed) just by enabling the GPS location service of your phone. After you create the tour, you upload it and other users can retake that tour using the information you provided.
Toura has the same basic principle of the GPX generation and GPX viewer applications that use tracks, routes and waypoints from gpx, kml, kmz and loc files. Toura has a more friendly interface and lets you add all kind of points that are predefined and also lets you share it more easily with others (you only need one app). Like other GPX Viewer applications you can see information and statistics from tracks, routes and waypoints and graphs like elevation and speed. But Toura can provide you more information: divided information for each day, total elevation, what means of transport to use and where to take them (take bus no 10 for 3 stations, or train to Rome, or subway from Victory Square to Roman Palace) statistics for them.

You can search after: the country or city you want to visit, after the duration of you trip, what budget do you have, what transport do you want to use, what is the distance you plan on making, what type of tour are you interested in, by the language you prefer (we support now 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Romanian), whether you want outdoor activities or cultural sightseeing. You can even search on the map to find tours near you or near a specific place. You can search a city tour on a city break, a day out with the bike, a weekend away in the country side, a mountain trail, you can track your run, cycling, swimming, skiing or other sport activity, a region trip with the car, one week sailing on the sea, a mouth in Europe with Interrail Pass, trip around the world with a camper or any other combination. You can even search tours after a specific theme (like Dracula), after a specific blogger that you follow, after a movie (where they filmed “Game of Thrones”), or a gourmet tour that takes you to the best places to try local cuisine (pizza in Napoli).
