Root Explorer is the ultimate file manager for root users. Access the whole of android's file system (including the elusive data folder!).

New permissions:
Full network access - Required for network and cloud access. No information is passed to us over the internet.
Add or remove accounts - Used by the Google Drive SDK to add a new account if desired. No changes are made to existing accounts and no details accessed apart from the account name.
Find accounts on the device - Used to list available accounts for logging into Google Drive.
Prevent from sleeping - Used to stop the device sleeping during long operations so they are not interrupted.

  My suggestions are for the app to have 1) an option to remember all previous SMB's connections [via preferences] and show them as a picklist (this way, I don't have to retype the IP address, just the password); and 2) a selection of SMB's version to use (I have some old NAS devices on my LAN that only accept SMB v1 connection). Anyway, thanks Colin for a great app.

  NEVER AGAIN! LOST AND ERASED ALL MY PICTURES (DEAD LOVED ONES), BOOKS, DOCUMENTS, AND MUSIC TRANSFERING USING THIS! Never before, till gave permission to open it. I don't use clouds. Wanting bigger font, against my better judgement. I even checked folders 3 times. Suddenly it was telling me I was disconnected. Everytime I opened JUST THIS APP, A folder would disappear. Permanently. It wasn't the drive, or card, a virus, malware, nor the phone. It was SPECIFICALLY THIS CODE/APP. Burn in hell.

  I love Root Explorer. One of the few apps I can say I've held onto for many years/many devices. I still use it everyday for work as a claims inspector.
