The Strokes is a United States rock band from New York, consisting of Julian Casablancas (lead vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar, backing vocals), Albert Hammond, Jr. (guitar, backing vocals), Nikolai Fraiture (bass guitar) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums, percussion).
After releasing his first album Is This It in 2001, the group got a lot of praise. [4] Since then, the band has a huge fan base around the world, especially in the United States, United Kingdom, Argentina, Canada, France, Brazil, and Australia. A number of members are busy handling various side projects, although still had released a fourth album titled Angles on March 22, 2011. [5] They are one of the most famous indie-rock bands from the United States at the beginning of the 21st century and helped spark a revival movement of garage rock. Is This It was ranked 199 in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
