Description of CRACKSHOT: Virtual Projector Laser Shooting Range

CRACKSHOT: Virtual Projector Dryfire Laser Shooting Range
IMPORTANT : Requires a Projector, Laser dry fire cartridge or laser training device, Adapter to connect Phone or Tablet to projector, and a tripod.
The CRACKSHOT Laser Shooting Range is the latest and most innovative laser dryfire shooting range application on the market today. Experience the thrill of having a safe, easy, and affordable shooting range in your own home.
Utilizing the latest in virtual reality technology, the CRACKSHOT Virtual Laser Range, running on a phone connected to a projector, simulates a shooting range that you can interact with using your real world firearm, sidearm, or concealed carry weapon.
Simply download the app, connect your phone to a projector, calibrate the projector, and use your laser ammo with an existing firearm (or dedicated replica laser training firearm) to dryfire practice with very realistic results. The app works by using your device camera to detect laser pointer hits on dynamic virtual targets (projected on the wall by the projector) mapping these hits to the virtual world while dry firing your weapon in the real world. In other words, you control the simulation using your real world firearm.
Features:
- Four different shooting range areas (Indoor, Outdoor, Western, and Dueling Trees)
- 13 Different game modes involving single targets, multiple targets, moving targets, exploding targets, and more.
- The indoor range features moveable targets and real range controls (move target forwards and backwards), automated horizontal and forward/backward moving targets, and a "Whack-A-Target" dynamic game
- The outdoor mode includes targets at various distances with integrated scoring, exploding targets, moving targets, and popup targets
- The western shooting mode includes shooting bottles off of a fence, a western shooting gallery, popup cowboy targets, and a timed dueling mode to practice your speed
- The dueling tree mode includes the ability for multiple players to duel against each other locally for under 60 seconds. The player who hits all the targets to their color first, or the player with the most points at the end of 60 seconds wins.
- Dynamic laser hit detection with a simulated magazine and reloads
- Dynamic calibration tools that allow for adjusting red sensitivity on multiple surfaces.
- Easy 3 step calibration and setup
Compatible with Most Laser Cartridges and Trainers:
- MantisX / Mantis Pink Rhino Red Laser Catridge, Blackbeard System
- Next Level Training NLT SIRT Pistol and AR Bolt
- G-Sight E.L.M.S. Hardware
- Laser Ammo SureStrike System
- CheapShot Laser Ammo Cartridges

What's New with CRACKSHOT: Virtual Projector Laser Shooting Range 2.0.6

Added an additional fix for Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus devices. While the legacy camera fix was working for the S8, past the auto calibration screen, the laser calibration step itself was failing. This has now been fixed.

Good for 15 bucks. Getting everything dialed in can be a pain between laser sensitivity and brightness. Finding the sweet spot that works for all stages requires some patience. Looking forward to future updates to make this more seem less. Wish the dueling tree was a single tree where both shooters have to bounce the plates back and forth to compete against each other

As others mentioned it is quite difficult to get the shot sensitivity dialed in. Moving from a indoor/outdoor/western setting seems to require returning the sensitivity again. Also the accuracy adjustment (to compensate for laser poi net being the same as poa) is really hard to use. The adjustment area is much too small to use accurately with a phone sized screen. Overall worth the $14, but it isn't something you'll setup for a quick session.

I really *want* to like this app, but it's more frustrating than useful. It's extremely difficult to calibrate for shot detection (red laser) without it going crazy and registering shots all over the screen. I've spent hours calibrating the app and projector settings to achieve about 80% shot detection in Indoor Range. But then switch to Outdoor or Wild West and it goes beserk again. And there needs to be a way to save sensitivity settings between sessions without redoing it every time.

The app works, but it's had to get the laser calibrated for accuracy.

Will not get past "auto calibration " wish it could be manually calibrated

Its good fun for all the fam, and much cheaper than ammo , hopefullythe update fixes the accuracy issues for me also , I'm sure it wasn't an easy build , appreciate your work , and the price . Will you be making adding more scenarios ? If not i would like to encourage it , you've done well on these , but a better hostage scenario would be good , shoot dont shoot . Thanks
