Description of Resolution Changer — Uses ADB

Resolution Changer works by using a hidden Android API called IWindowManager. Originally, Google restricted access to this API starting with Android Pie, however, they allowed developers to disable the API blacklist by tweaking a Secure Setting.
Resolution Changer first unlocks the blacklisted APIs, and then applies the requested resolution and display density.
If you do not specify a height or width, Resolution Changer will simply use the resolution that is currently set by the device.
If you do not specify a density, Resolution Changer will try to calculate a suitable density based on the diagonal screen size of the device.
WARNING:
If you specify a broken resolution and are unable to fix it, follow these steps:
1. Connect device to PC
2. Open CMD or Terminal (depending on OS)
3. Type these commands:
adb shell wm size reset
adb shell wm density reset

  Good app. IK it's good but please help. I am unable to use it. I enable USB debugging, and connect with usb to my pc with file transfer mode. But when I type in command window adb devices, no prompt comes on my phone. Even if I type again. Nothing. Please help me.

  It works!!! J2 core workin like a mid range phone with a terrible resolution lol and low ram. stutter free in brawl stars but critical ops still terrible. Better then on original resolution. Thank u very much man. P.s. Ive been reading other people reviews and boy there are alotta dumb people tryin this

  Absolutely superb app. Only require 1 time plug in to PC without ROOT. Then u just chg with the app. Managed to drop abt 50% batt use when gaming frm 1440p to 1050p. Not much diff in visual quality but gameplay now butter smooth with stable framerate! Im using LG G6 btw. Tq dev for this app.

  Great app!!. Wanted to project my phone to car's head unit and it wouldn't project in full screen. Matched unit resolution on the phone actually double. Head unit supports 600 x 1024. I made my phone 1200 x 2048. And voila, projecting in full screen. Can easily jump back to the original aspect ratio / resolution.
