Magoo's easy interface helps people who are not tech-savvy use their tablets. This is a perfect solution if you have bought (or consider buying) a tablet for a senior / elderly family member who might benefit from a friendlier and easy to use interface.
Magoo launcher does not assume any previous knowledge of operating a tablet and offer:
A. Tutorial on how to use the tablet, connect to the internet, download apps etc. The tutorial is using very easy to grasp language, so that users don't feel intimidated or dumbed down.
B. Easy homescreen interface (launcher) of 12 big buttons with clear and large labels. Each button can be personalized using simplified Settings screen
We are still at early stages of developing this launcher, but have tested the interface with quite a few senior / elderly users including our family members, and look forward to getting your feedback that would allow us to take it to the next stage. Feel free to send us your and your senior / elderly family members suggestions, changes to the interface / tutorial or ask for specific features.
At Magoo we believe that age is irrelevant for enjoying the most recent technologies. Our senior / elderly family members - mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers - are the inspiration for this work, but it could equally work for anyone who finds tablets a bit confusing, complicated or not friendly or easy enough. The launcher gives your tablet a new face and communicates in a more engaging way.
