The Pocket Pit lap counter application is the partner app for the Pocket Pit automatic lap counting and timing hardware.
When you are racing and have your pit man with you the Pocket Pit application can work in manual mode where a user can time and count laps like a traditional stopwatch. The application will log number of laps, show you your average lap time and fastest lap time during and at the end of a practise run.
All race timing data can be saved on your device, recalled and edited for future reference. Save notes with your race data so you can recall setup information for future visits to the track.
If you like to practise radio control car and bike racing independently and don’t have a pit man or friend to help, connect the Pocket Pit application to the timing hardware (sold separately) using Bluetooth. Make use of the automated features of the app to accurately count and time your laps - have a pit man in your pocket!
The app will log and speak your lap times during your practise run, let you know when you have 30 seconds remaining and let you know when your timed period has ended. The app will speak your lap times using the built-in speaker of your device or use your own headphones.
You can configure your minimum lap time for tracks that might cause false triggering and set the length of your practise run to start and stop your timer automatically. Options include 5, 6 or 8 minutes for different classes of racing.
