The Hoge Kempen National Park, in the Belgian province of Limburg, has a unique nature which runs more than 5,700 hectares of forest and heath and protected. The area stretches across the municipalities Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen, Zutendaal, Lanaken, Genk and As.
It is the natural climax of the Regional Landscape Kempen and Maasland , known for its unique Cycle Network.
It is on March 23, 2006 when the Hoge Kempen National Park officially opened. Since then, the National Park opened 6 Gateways to serve as a starting place for your visit in this area.
