Notasi catur adalah satu kaedah untuk merekod dan menerangkan gerakan-gerakan yang dibuat di dalam satu permainan catur. Ia menggunakan sistem koordinat untuk mengenalpasti nama-nama petak di atas papan catur mengikut huruf dan nombor. Setiap buah catur (selain daripada bidak) diberikan huruf-huruf tertentu, iaitu K untuk raja, Q untuk menteri, R untuk tir, B untuk gajah, dan N untuk satria, diikuti oleh koordinat petak tempat ia berada. Apabila membuat tangkapan, huruf "x" dimasukkan sebelum koordinat petak tersebut.

Chess notation is a method for recording and explaining the movements made in a chess game. It uses a coordinate system to identify parcel names on chess boards by letters and numbers. Each piece of chess (other than a pawn) is given certain letters, namely K for king, Q for minister, R for tir, B for elephant, and N for knight, followed by the coordinate of the parcel where it is located. When shooting, the letter "x" is entered before the coordinates of the square.
