Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri atau disingkat SBMPTN merupakan seleksi bersama dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru di lingkungan perguruan tinggi negeri menggunakan pola ujian tertulis secara nasional yang selama ini telah menunjukkan berbagai keuntungan dan keunggulan, baik bagi calon mahasiswa, perguruan tinggi negeri, maupun kepentingan nasional. Bagi calon mahasiswa, ujian tertulis sangat menguntungkan karena lebih efisien, murah, dan fleksibel karena adanya mekanisme lintas wilayah

Ujian tertulis
• Tes Kemampuan Potensi Akademik (TKPA) terdiri atas kemampuan Matematika Dasar, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Bahasa Inggris.
• Tes Kemampuan Dasar Saintek (TKD Saintek) terdiri atas kemampuan Matematika, Biologi, Kimia, dan Fisika.
• Tes Kemampuan Dasar Sosial dan Humaniora (TKD Soshum) terdiri atas kemampuan Sosiologi, Sejarah, Geografi, dan Ekonomi.
Ujian keterampilan
• Ujian keterampilan diperuntukkan bagi peminat Program Studi bidang Ilmu Seni dan Keolahragaan.
• Ujian Keterampilan Bidang Ilmu Seni terdiri atas tes pengetahuan dan keterampilan bidang ilmu seni.
• Ujian Keterampilan Bidang Ilmu Keolahragaan terdiri atas tes kesehatan dan kesegaran jasmani.
• Ujian Keterampilan dapat diikuti di PTN terdekat yang memiliki program studi yang dipilih. Daftar PTN penyelenggara ujian keterampilan secara lengkap dapat dilihat di laman
