The Alta Via del Sale is a historic route between the Alps of Piedmont and Provence and the sea of Liguria, a link between Italy and France for trekking, mountain biking, motorcycling and SUVs.
Formerly used for trade from one side to the other of raw materials (mainly salt, hence its name: "Salt"), in the last century the High Street of the Salt, or "former military road Lemon - Monesi "it underwent further military interventions that have settled and expanded his path.
Today the Alta Via del Sale is proposed as a beautiful, historic, environmental path, tourist and sports divided into eight cross-border routes.
