Tarragona Port Authority has plublicado this app as a management tool integrated into its Environmental Control Box.
Its aim is to facilitate the monitoring of the actions of wind, waves, currents and tides that affect the port and close and environmental effects of operations and services that take place in it areas, automatic recommendation forms of operation and allow immediate access to those variables monitored by competent agencies concerned.
Dashboards are defined as systems of indicators that facilitate decision-making and
control. The environmental control box of the Port Authority of Tarragona is heir to the results of
HADA project, an initiative supported by the European Commission through the Life (LIFE02 ENV / E / 000274) Program. It aims to provide an integrated manner, of all weather, oceanographic and air quality, water instrumental network of the Port Authority of Tarragona, as well as diagnosis and oceanometeorológico forecast from numerical models managed by different institutions ( Public Agency State Ports, State Meteorological Agency, Meteorological Service of Catalonia, Meteogalicia), whose results are accessed through various cooperation agreements.
The data shown in this application have been collected from the following reference centers based on established cooperation agreements with the Authority Portuaria.La published information is obtained directly from the measuring equipment installed at the Port Authority. These data have not been validated so they can appear erroneous or inconsistent values ​​due to erroneous readings, stops on computers for maintenance or other causes.
