Indonesian BP REDD+ fundamental strategy is to conduct a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) to achieve their main goal, to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Hence, timely and accurate information of deforestation and forest degradation are required to support the climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation policy initiatives. Information delay due to out-of-date data is very common that hamper the immediate response. Therefore, collecting data directly from the ground in real-time or near-real-time is paramount to achieving an effective mitigation action and policy making.
