The News Junkies is a safe place where students of all ages can surf/read up on current events and learn more about the world and its many inequalities & injustices.
The site serves as a portal for all things news. The internet is filled with amazing sites dedicated to students. My objective is to create a comprehensive compilation of age-appropriate websites for students.
It's a site for students, teachers, and parents alike. A place where you can allow your children to surf the news, while maintaining peace of mind in knowing that every link added contains age appropriate material!
The site also contains a wide variety of RSS Feeds, displaying breaking news in the following areas: World News, Science News, Sport News, Weird & Wacky News, History News, and Feel Good/Positive News. Students and teachers can also connect directly to a multitude of news websites for students, weekly news quizzes, online magazines and newspapers, world newspapers, search engines for kids, video/audio podcasts, Model United Nations resources, a blog, and a teachers corner containing great classroom resources!
An internet connection is required to use the app.
