Breve historia del Club:
El club fue creado por los hijos del barrio de La Boca. Lugar portuario de esforzados inmigrantes llegados de distintos lugares del mundo. Los Italianos (en su mayoría Genoveses), formaban el corazón de este sector de Buenos Aires.
A principios de siglo todo el barrio de La Boca olía a fugazza y fainá, y muchas pizzerías de la zona gozaban de un gran prestigio en uno de los sitios mas populares de Buenos Aires, a orillas del Río de La Plata: La Boca.
El lunes 3 de abril de 1905, cinco jóvenes se reunieron en la vivienda de uno de ellos con el gran propósito de fundar un club de fútbol. La vivienda en la que se llevó a cabo fue la de Esteban Baglietto. Los otros cuatro invitados eran Alfredo Scarpatti, Santiago Sana y los hermanos Juan y Teodoro Farenga.
Luego de varias horas de deliberaciones y a raíz del aumento en el tono de las discusiones, el padre de Baglietto expulsó de la casa a su hijo y a los otros jóvenes, quienes siguieron con el firme proyecto en la hoy histórica --para los Boquenses--, Plaza Solís.
Sobre un precario banco de ese lugar de espacios verdes, comprendido por las calles Olavarría, Suárez, Gaboto y Ministro Brín fue donde nació la institución deportiva más popular de La Argentina hasta el día de hoy.
El nombre del club fue uno de los puntos que más problemas generó entre los cinco jóvenes. Después de pasar por docenas de variantes, uno de los fundadores tuvo la idea más acertada: ponerle al club el nombre del barrio: BOCA.
El joven Santiago Sana hizo una salvedad, agregarle a ese primer nombre la palabra JUNIORS para darle de ese modo, un toque inglés que le aportaba algo más de prestigio a la denominación anterior.
Otro ítem fundamental como era el nombre del club, estaba resuelto: el glorioso CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JUNIORS comenzaba a escribir su magnífica historia bajo la presidencia de Esteban Baglietto de apenas 17 años de edad.
Las crónicas de aquella época resaltan que la primera camiseta que utilizó BOCA JUNIORS fue de color rosa. La usó en un partido barrial. Fue debut y despedida de ese color debido a las cargadas de los jugadores del equipo rival. El segundo diseño de casaca resultó a finísimas rayas verticales blancas y negras. Otras crónicas de aquella época cuentan que dicha camiseta era a rayas verticales, pero blancas y azules. Con esta otra indumentaria tampoco hubo consenso.
Las reuniones se realizaban con mayor frecuencia y cada vez más vecinos del barrio participaban de las mismas. Fue así que en una de ellas, el señor Juan Brichetto fue el ideólogo de los colores de BOCA JUNIORS. Debido a su trabajo (encargado de dar paso a los vapores que navegaban por la dársena, entre los diques uno y dos en el cruce con la calle Estados Unidos), pensó que la bandera del primer buque que pasara por su puesto le daría la divisa al club. Así fue.
La idea fue apoyada por todos los demás. Toda la gente que debatía este asunto se dirigió hacia el puerto a esperar el primer barco que llegara. Fue un buque de origen Sueco. A casi todos les agradó el fondo azul crucificado en amarillo de la bandera de Suecia. Allí estuvo el origen de los colores del club.
Este hecho ocurrió un indeterminado día del año 1907. La primera casaca con estos colores fue azul con una banda cruzada en amarillo. En 1910 se empezaría a usar la tradicional: azul con una franja horizontal en el medio de color amarillo oro.

Brief history of the Club:
The club was created by the children of the neighborhood of La Boca. Port place of hard-working immigrants from different parts of the world. The Italians (mostly Genoese), formed the heart of this sector of Buenos Aires.
At the beginning of the century, the entire neighborhood of La Boca smelled of fugazza and fainá, and many pizzerias in the area enjoyed great prestige in one of the most popular places in Buenos Aires, on the banks of the La Plata River: La Boca.
On Monday, April 3, 1905, five young people met in the home of one of them for the great purpose of founding a football club. The house in which it was carried out was that of Esteban Baglietto. The other four guests were Alfredo Scarpatti, Santiago Sana and the brothers Juan and Teodoro Farenga.
After several hours of deliberations and because of the increase in the tone of the discussions, Baglietto's father expelled his son and the other youngsters from the house, who continued with the firm project in the historic today - for the Boquenses-- , Plaza Solís.

The name of the club was one of the points that generated the most problems among the five young people. After going through dozens of variants, one of the founders had the best idea: to give the club the name of the neighborhood: BOCA.
The young Santiago Sana made a reservation, adding to that first name the word JUNIORS to give him that way, an English touch that brought something more prestige to the previous name.
Another fundamental item as was the name of the club, was solved: the glorious CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JUNIORS began to write its magnificent history under the presidency of Esteban Baglietto of just 17 years old.
The chronicles of that time highlight that the first shirt that BOCA JUNIORS used was pink. He used it in a neighborhood party. It was debut and farewell of that color due to the loaded ones of the players of the rival equipment. The second jacket design resulted in very thin white and black vertical stripes. Other chronicles of that time tell that this shirt was vertical stripes, but white and blue. With this other clothing there was no consensus either.
The meetings were held more frequently and more and more neighborhood residents participated in them. It was so in one of them, Mr. Juan Brichetto was the ideologist of the colors of BOCA JUNIORS. Due to his work (in charge of giving way to the vapors that sailed through the dock, between dams one and two at the junction with United States street), he thought that the flag of the first ship that passed through his post would give him the currency to the club. That's how it went.
The idea was supported by all the others. All the people who debated this matter went to the port to wait for the first ship to arrive. It was a ship of Swedish origin. Almost everyone liked the blue background crucified in yellow of the Swedish flag. There was the origin of the colors of the club.
This happened on an indeterminate day of the year 1907. The first coat with these colors was blue with a cross band in yellow. In 1910 it would begin to use the traditional: blue with a horizontal strip in the middle yellow gold.
