Everyone has a story. Our lives and the culture of our communities are shaped by our unique experiences and our histories. But too often the beautiful, ordinary stories that comprise our everyday lives are never shared because they are eclipsed by those that are deemed the most sensational or newsworthy.
We strive to change that. Created by The Public Theater, the Public Record Story Portal collects and amplifies stories from communities throughout the United States in order to inspire conversation, art-making, and connection.
