Kochi has many titles to its credit. “The Queen of the Arabian Sea”, “The industrial Capital of Kerala”. “The smartest City in Kerala”, etc., But it can also boast of being in the forefront of health care with medical colleges, a well-equipped modern Government Hospital and number of world class private hospitals. It is not surprising that the Association of Physicians of India has its only city branch in Kochi, in the state of Kerala.
API Kochi Branch came into existence in 2008 when a group of well-meaning physicians got together for APICON 2008. The ground work was done with Dr. Shyamala Menon and Dr. Geetha Philips at the helm of affairs.
Within a short time span of 8 years, the Association has grown from strength to strength. At present, it has around 250 members. Talks by eminent doctors, case discussions and panel discussions are held on the last Friday of every month. API DIAS series along with other city branches in India, State API conferences, International Diabetic updates organized by RSSDI every year – these are some of the events hosted by Kochi, with the members of the Kochi Branch playing a very active role.
Now this 9 year old branch has taken upon itself the mammoth task of hosting the mega event, APICON in 2019. We are sure that with everybody’s blessings & support, we will be able to make it a memorable one.

        Kochi memiliki banyak gelar untuk kredit. “Ratu Laut Arab”, “The Capital industri Kerala”. “The cerdas Kota di Kerala”, dll, Tetapi juga dapat membanggakan berada di garis depan pelayanan kesehatan dengan perguruan tinggi medis, Rumah Sakit Pemerintah yang modern dan dilengkapi dengan jumlah rumah sakit swasta kelas dunia. Hal ini tidak mengherankan bahwa Asosiasi Dokter dari India memiliki cabang kota hanya di Kochi, di negara bagian Kerala.
API Kochi Cabang muncul pada tahun 2008 ketika sekelompok bermaksud baik dokter berkumpul untuk APICON 2008. tanah pekerjaan dilakukan dengan Dr. Shyamala Menon dan Dr. Geetha Philips di kemudi urusan.
Dalam rentang waktu singkat dari 8 tahun, Asosiasi telah berkembang dari kekuatan ke kekuatan. Saat ini, ia memiliki sekitar 250 anggota.
