*** Chess is one of the oldest strategy games in the world. It is a great strategic board game for families and friends. I made this game mainly for beginners and kids who learn to play chess. A chess game has 5 elements : A chess board, Chess Pieces, a timer, 2 players and place where you have the match. Let's go deeper into each elements:
1. Chess board: A checkered board consist of 64 squares with 2 interleaved different colors.
2. Chess Pieces: A set consists of 32 pieces divided into 16 pieces of white and 16 pieces of black in a specific order. There are 6 types of pieces: King, Queen, Bishop, Rook, Knight and Pawn. Each side has 8 pieces of pawn, 2 pieces of bishop, 2 pieces of knight, 2 pieces of rook, 1 piece of queen and 1 piece of king. Each piece has different move path. For more detail, you could check the rules book.
3. Timer: a specific timer made for a chess match. You can always see timer in every chess league.
4. Player: 2 players facing each other , using their strategies to beat the other. It could be your friends, your family members, your chessmates, your rivals or even someone you just met. From the old to little kids, from men to women.
5. Places: It is very easy to set up a chess board so you can play it anywhere you like. In your home, in the park, your school or your work place.
*** There are 3 results of a match: victory, draw and lose. Victory is when you checkmate your opponent, or you have higher score when timeout. For more details, you can read the rules book.
*** I make this app because I want to help you guys train to improve your skills. When I watch the world championship chess matches between the top elo players especially Magnus Carlsen I was shocked. But to be on the top, you must climb from the bottom. They are gifted but without playing a lot of matches, without training their skills, they won't be able to have the incredible speed, precision, concentration, calculation.
*** My app has 2 main modes and 2 additional modes:
1. Play with computer: I make a simple AI chess engine which can be upgraded in the future. Because I want to make chess for beginners and chess for kids first.
2. Play with human: You can play with friends or family members.
3. Blackout mode: Go to settings and input the time between blackout happen and the blackout time. I made this mode to train your concentration, your calculation speed and your reflexibility. I got the idea from watching speed chess match of Magnus.
4. Time mode: Go to settings and input the match time. I make the timer off screen because in a real match, you don't have the timer on chess board. You can have a real timer beside you.
