MatchFIT is an app for SitFIT users participating in the EuroFIT programme. The app will display step and uptime data from your SitFIT device, and allow you to work together with your teammates from the EuroFIT programme in a weekly match against a virtual opponent. You can communicate with your teammates, and your combined step counts will be your team's score. The more you walk each week, the more likely it is you will beat the opposing team. You can also see your personal daily and weekly step counts and uptime. Only you can see your individual data.
The EuroFIT programme is harnessing the ‘love of the game’ to engage football fans in health-promoting lifestyle changes through their loyalty and attachment to their clubs. EuroFIT is engage fans through their connection with their clubs to make sustainable improvements in their diet, activity, and physical fitness. The EuroFIT programme is currently being run at the following clubs:
England: Arsenal FC, Everton FC, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Stoke City.
The Netherlands: FC Groningen, PSV, Vitesse, and Ado Den Haag.
Portugal: Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Sporting Clube de Portugal, FC Porto.
Norway: Strømsgodet IF, Vålerenga Fotball, Rosenborg Ballklub.
