Santuário de Vinhático

Desde 1938, quando os primeiros moradores chegaram ao norte do estado e ocuparam as nossas matas, o pequeno povoado foi se desenvolvendo até se tornar-se Vila de Vinhático. Em setembro de 1951 com permissão do Pe. Guilherme Shimittiz foi construída a primeira capela, naquele dia o vigário trouxe uma pequena imagem do Imaculado Coração de Maria. Já em 1952 o vigário sentiu a necessidade de construir uma nova capela e incumbiu esta missão ao povo. Assim o fizeram naquela mesmo ano. Em 1954 foi celebrado o ano Mariano e em 1955 a imagem peregrina de Nossa Senhora da Penha visitou a povoado. Em 1959 a capela passou a ser atendia pelo Pe. Celso Duca.
A vida religiosa e social veio se organizado ao redor do Santuário, que o povo construí com fervor generoso para honrar sua gloriosa Padroeira. Em 03 de maio de 1959 Pe. Celso Duca benzeu a pedra fundamental da nova igreja e que no dia 25 de dezembro a meia noite com grande alegria, Pe. Celso abençoou a nova igreja e colocou as relíquias Santas no altar provisório e a imagem da Padroeira. No dia 22 de agosto de 1961 o então Bispo, Dom José Dalvit, Bispo diocesano, em visita pastoral, abençoou a igreja e o altar. No dia 19 de agosto de 1962 foi abençoado o carrilhão de três sinos, dedicados ao Imaculado Coração de Maria, São João Batista e Bom Jesus.
No dia 23 de setembro de 1962 chega solenemente, trazida da Itália a nova imagem da Padroeira doada pela mãe do Pe. Celso. Logo após ser introduzida na igreja a Imagem peregrinou por diversas paróquias e capelas da Diocese. Em 12 de agosto de 1963, Dom José Dalvit faz uma romaria ao Santuário pedindo sobre o Concilio Vaticano II. No dia 14 de fevereiro de 1965 foi instalada pelo Sr. Bispo Diocesano Dom José Dalvit a paróquia do Imaculado Coração de Maria.
No dia 21 de abril de 2014 o Exmo. Sr. Dom Zanoni Demettino Castro, deu início solenemente aos trabalhos para a instalação canônica do Santuário Diocesano do Imaculado Coração de Maria em Vinhático – ES.
Since 1938, when the first residents arrived in the north of the state and occupied our forests, the small settlement developed until it became Vila de Vinhático. In September 1951, with the permission of Fr. Guilherme Shimittiz, the first chapel was built, that day the vicar brought a small image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In 1952, the vicar felt the need to build a new chapel and entrusted this mission to the people. They did so that same year. In 1954 the Marian year was celebrated and in 1955 the pilgrim image of Nossa Senhora da Penha visited the village. In 1959 the chapel started to be attended by Fr. Celso Duca.
Religious and social life came to be organized around the Sanctuary, which the people built with generous fervor to honor their glorious Patroness. On May 3, 1959 Fr. Celso Duca blessed the cornerstone of the new church and that on December 25 at midnight with great joy, Fr. Celso blessed the new church and placed the Santas relics on the provisional altar and the image of the Patroness. On August 22, 1961 the then Bishop, Dom José Dalvit, diocesan Bishop, on a pastoral visit, blessed the church and the altar. On August 19, 1962, the chime of three bells, dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. John the Baptist and Bom Jesus, was blessed.
On September 23, 1962, the new image of the Patroness donated by Father Celso's mother arrived from Italy. Soon after the image was introduced into the church, it wandered through different parishes and chapels in the Diocese. On August 12, 1963, Don José Dalvit made a pilgrimage to the Shrine asking for the Second Vatican Council. On February 14, 1965, the Diocesan Bishop Don José Dalvit installed the parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
On April 21, 2014 the Hon. Mr. Dom Zanoni Demettino Castro, solemnly started work on the canonical installation of the Diocesan Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Vinhático - ES.
