The Quran (/kɔːrˈɑːn/ kor-AHN; Arabic: القرآن‎, romanized: al-Qurʼān Arabic pronunciation: [alqur'ʔaːn], literally meaning "the recitation"), also romanized Qur'an or Koran, is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God (Allah). It is widely regarded as the finest work in classical Arabic literature.Slightly shorter than the New Testament, it is organized in 114 chapters (Arabic: سورة sūrah, plural سور suwar) — not according to chronology or subject matter, but according to length of surahs (with some exceptions). Muslims believe that the Quran was orally revealed by God to the final prophet, Muhammad, through the archangel Gabriel (Jibril), incrementally over a period of some 23 years, beginning on 22 December 609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632, the year of his death.
Muslims regard the Quran as Muhammad's most important miracle, a proof of his prophethood, and the culmination of a series of divine messages starting with those revealed to Adam, including the Tawrah (Torah), the Zabur ("Psalms") and the Injil ("Gospel"), and ending with Muhammad's revelation.

Shaikh Salah Al Bukhatir memorized the Holy Qur’an whilst he was still a child. His beautiful voice in psalmody earned much distinction and popularity around the world. Later on, his fame took him to eminent mosques of the Saudi Arabia. Thus, he has led prayers in Sheikh Saoud Al Kassimi’s Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. Shaikh Salah Al Bukhatir has been invited by many TV and Radio programmes of Muslim countries. Salah Bukhatir’s recitation was often assimilated to Sheikh Sudais.
