Smart Referendum is an android application which provides a new technique of casting votes using smart phones. Smart Referendum is an application developed for android devices to deploy an easy and flexible way of casting votes anytime and from anywhere. Each voter can only post one vote. There is no possibility for invalid votes. We can reduce the time and amount spend for election by implementing this system. People working on different locations won’t require to visit their Assembly Consistency on the Election Date which leads to more issues. Government also don’t need to declare the Election Date as a Public holiday. At the end of the voting process the system counts the total votes and generates a brief report of it to the Election Commission. This system also gave an opportunity for a Non Residential Indians to caste their valuable votes.
