Box Office Predictor

A lightweight and accurate app that will predict the box office total of any movie given its opening weekend gross, month of release, and genre. All this is wrapped in a neat, modern UI that’s incredibly easy to navigate and use.
How does this app work?
- The app first takes the movie genre as well as the month of release as inputs from the user.
- The app then uses these inputs to compare the movie to similar movies (movies of the same genre released in the same time frame).
- It then multiplies the opening weekend by the average multiplier of those other movies, giving you a result that is usually within a 10% margin of error.
-This app will work for any movie, no matter the genre, studio, release month, or cast.
-The app is based only on numbers without any sentiment, making it more accurate than most people.
How to use this app:
- You first need to find out how much money the movie made on opening weekend. You can do this at a number of different box office websites, including boxofficemojo.com (which you can access directly from the app).
- Then, find out what month this movie was released in, and what genre it belongs to.
- After inputting these values into the predictor page of the app, you will be presented with the final predicted box office total of the movie.
