The trial phase of the application is available for journeys on bus route H12 and Line 9 South of the TMB metro in the following Line 9 South metro stations: Zona Universitaria, Collblanc, Torrasa, Can Trias Gornal, Europa Fira, Fira, El Prat, Aeroport Terminal 1 and Aeroport Terminal 2.
To use it, open the application and find the ddTAG at the metro station platforms and at bus stops. Point your mobile device's camera at the tag and you will receive instant useful information to help you get around on public transport.
ddTags represent a new colour BIDI code which, unlike other existing codes such as bar codes and QR codes, can be read very quickly and at great distance. The ease and readability of these codes opens up a whole new reading experience for users.
These codes can also be used by visually impaired people through the NaviLens app, enabling them to access the information and thus help make it universally available.
